QANTAS CREDITS for Multiple Future Bookings

Qantas has implemented a process improving how you can use your Qantas ticket value held in credit if your travel was impacted by COVID-19.

You now have the option of using Ticket Credits for multiple bookings.

This means that The Travel Authority Group can safely hold your residual Qantas funds on your behalf.

You can then tap into those funds and use them to make your future bookings when you’re ready to fly any time before 31 December

The process applies to anyone holding a valid Qantas [081] ticket issued prior to 30 April 2020, with flights booked for departure between 31 January 2020 and 31 October 2020.

If you choose this new flexible credit option, you will forfeit the ability to obtain a refund on the credit (if you were entitled to one under the original fare rules of your impacted tickets).

It’s also important to understand that your Qantas ticket funds cannot be transferred to another person. Name changes are not permitted.

We’d love to get you flying again soon.

QANTAS Flight Credits, Frequent Flyer & Qantas Club Extensions

With almost its entire fleet grounded and airport lounges closed, Qantas has confirmed a range of extended options for ticket holders, Qantas Club members and Frequent Flyers.

Flight Credits

The airline has also advised that existing Qantas bookings can be converted to an equal-value ‘flight credit’ to put towards future bookings.

If you are due to travel on a Qantas flight before 31 July 2020 and wish to change your plans, you can cancel your booking and retain the full value as a flight credit. Flight credits can be used for bookings and travel until 31 December 2021.

Please note that flight credits must be requested by 30 April 2020.

When you’re ready to book a flight using your credit, the airline will waive the change fee, but you will have to cover any fare increase in your new booking.

Some terms and conditions do apply, so please contact us to discuss.

Qantas Frequent Flyer

Eligible Qantas Frequent Flyer members will have their status automatically be extended for 12 months—even those that have not met the airline’s four flight count minimum rule.

The extension take place in two phases.

If your membership year ends:

Between March and June 2020, it was automatically extended by 27 March 2020.
Between July 2020 and February 2021, it will be automatically extended by 9 April 2020.

Once Qantas has extended your status, you will receive a confirmation email sent to your preferred email address on your Qantas Frequent Flyer account.

Qantas Club Memberships

Qantas has extended the validity of Qantas Club memberships by six months.

“To provide peace of mind when it comes to Qantas Club membership, Qantas will ensure that eligible paid Qantas Club members with a membership year anniversary date between 23 March 2020 and February 2024 will automatically receive a six-month extension on their Qantas Club membership,” the airline said.

The extension will only be awarded to Qantas Club members with an active membership as at 23 March 2020, who purchased their Individual, Corporate, Partner, or Group membership or an Annual Guest Card, using a credit or debit card, or Qantas Points.
